Jerry Frank Chatman, 60, of Searcy, died Sunday, October 4, 2001, at his home. He was born August 24, 1941, in Garner to Marvin "Bud" and MIllie Greenwood Chatman.

He was an Air Force veteran, serving in Korea, and a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy. He was also the owner of Newport Pawn and Sport Shop.

He is survived by wife, Veda Parker Chatman; one son, Jerry Christopher Chatman of Cordova, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Valerie Jones of Searcy; his mother, MIllie Greenwood Chatman of Searcy and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin "Bud" Chatman.

Funeral services will be today, October 6, 2001, at the Searcy Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm.
