Spotlight on the Gunslingers: SPC Chris Kissinger

Specialist (SPC) Chris Kissinger, United States Army, is a member of Task Force (TF) 2-153, currently stationed at South Camp in the Sinai, Egypt. TF 2-153 is the first pure National Guard unit to ever take over the Multinational Forces and Observers (MFO) mission in the Sinai desert.
Kissinger, age 23, graduated from Searcy High School in 1998. He was attending college at Arkansas State University-Beebe, where he was majoring in business administration. SPC Kissinger was also working part time for the United Postal Service in the reload department, when he was called to be part of TF 2-153.
He serves in the support platoon while in the MFO. His duties include TF driving instructor, sling load specialist, and squad leader, which are invaluable assets to TF 2-153rd's mission success. SPC Kissingers' experience in the military has given him the work ethics and motivation skills that have helped him excel in the college environment.
"I wanted to do my part to help my country after September 11," said Kissinger. "Seeing all of this makes you really appreciate home."
Kissinger has been in the Arkansas National Guard for five years. This is his first deployment with the Arkansas Army National Guard.
