| William O. Moore William O. Moore, 84, of Searcy, died Saturday, January 11, 2003. He was born October 20, 1918 in Albion to the late Orval Thomas Moore and Mary Elizabeth Young Moore. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was employed by White County Road System and retired after serving as White County Clerk from 1979 until 1984. He was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, the Searcy Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Pangburn Chapter #502 Order of Eastern Star where he served as Worthy Patron. He is survived by one son, Jerry Moore and daughter-in-law Marqueta Moore of Albion; one daughter, Vickie Moore Young and son-in-law Cliff Young of Jonesboro; three sisters, Avis Meachum of Albion, Betty Sue Jackson of Searcy, and Eva Lou Bell of Albion; five grandchildren, Sherry Moore Farhatt, Robin Moore Ricks, Stacy Moore Carrico, Scott Young, and Lauren Young; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Reba Vaughan Moore. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 14, at 10 a.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Gilliam and Brother Clayton Bulice officiating. Interment was in White County Memorial Gardens. Song selections were "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace" with Rommie Cheshier as soloist and Don Mooney as pianist. Pallbearers were Larry Bell, Kenneth Billings, Charlie Moore, Jacky Moore, James Moore, and Bud Phifer. Memorials may be made to the Oak United Methodist Church.
