ITC Roland Reynolds retires from U.S. Navy

Roland E. Reynolds

ITC Roland E. Reynolds of Searcy, Ark., recently retired from the United States Navy. A ceremony was held September 30.

He enlisted in the United States Navy after graduating high school during the summer of 1985.

He has served numerous assignments, which include Special Operations Command, Doha, Qatar, Defense Intelligence Agency, DIA/LAN 7400 Defense Pentagon, Washington, D.C., USNS Comfort T-AH 20, Canton Pier 11, Baltimore, MD, USS SCOTT (DDG 995) Mayport, FL, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Manama, Bahrain, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Pentagon Washington D.C., and Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, USS Mount Baker (AE-34) Charleston, South Carolina, Weapons Station Charleston.

His awards include Joint Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Joint Meritorious Unit Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Battle "E" Ribbon, Southeast Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Ribbon, Coast Guard Special OPS Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Chief Reynolds has been married for 13 years to Tammy Reynolds. Together they are the proud parents of two wonderful children, a 9-year-old daughter, Kamaree Reynolds, and a 7-year-old son, Roland Reynolds, Jr. He is the son of Initia Shelton.

 

 

Was a 23-year veteran of the Navy where he was an electrical engineer. He was a Baptist.
