Main Street Searcy Begins Bench Campaign

As part of its Downtown revitalization effort, Main Street Searcy has begun a bench sponsorship campaign. The first bench, sponsored by Weber Theaters and Searcy Thrills on Wheels, has been placed on the east side of the White County Courthouse.

The benches will allow area residents the opportunity to promote their businesses or honor friends and family members. Benches are being placed throughout the Main Street District.

Additional seating is needed in the downtown area. Main Street Searcy Executive Director Amy Burton said, "With more businesses opening in the downtown area we arebeginning to see more people on the sidewalks. We are also seeing an increase in pedestrian traffic due to activities associated with Main Street Searcy, the Downtown Association, the City,and the County. Additional seating is needed in order to make Downtown Searcy an enjoyable and comfortable place to visit.
