Real property tax is 20 percent of appraised value with millage based on a vote of city or county residents and is payable to the County Tax Collector on or before October 10. The office is located at 117 West Arch Ave. in downtown Searcy.
Personal property tax is based on 20 percent of the appraised value of motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, farm machinery and livestock owned as of January 1 and must be assessed on or before May 31. It is payable to the County Tax Collector on or before October 10.
Arkansas sales tax is 4.625 percent; White County is one percent; and Searcy is .05 percent for a total of 6.125 percent.
