Voting locations have changed

Friday, March 17, 2006 6:34 PM CST

Beginning with the Party Primary Elections in May 2006, many voters in White County who go to the polls on Election Day will be required to go to different locations than they did in the past. Changes necessary as a result of changes in election laws affecting disabled voters, and changes in election equipment and procedures have necessitated a reduction in the overall number of polling sites within the county. These changes are designed to reduce the costs and increase security and compliance with state election laws. The White County Election Commission has implemented the changes displayed below to meet these requirements. Check the listing below for your precinct and the location of your polling site on Election Day.

Note that actual voting precincts have not changed. Only the location of some polling sites has changed.

Voters affected by these changes will be notified by mail of their new polling location.
Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors about the changes if you think they have not been informed about them.
